RESEARCH IN BOOKS
I am always browsing through the many books that are shelved at my Grandparent’s house. As long as I can remember, the books have fascinated me. They are always neatly arranged and very accessible to the kids. No matter how often I have walked through the house and seen books laying everywhere, they are all neatly back on the shelves or stacked on the end tables when we come again the next week. I saw a stack of books next to my Grandfather’s Freestyle blood meter the other day when Grandma sent me to get something from her night table. That was a really tiny meter, and I wonder where she got that one. But, I left it there and rifled through the books instead. I found a couple that were really interesting, and ended up forgetting that I was in there for a specific reason. Grandma came looking for me after a while, and we ended up talking about the books that were always at hand throughout her house. She told me she has always tried to find ways to keep her grandkids learning new and exciting things. Reading has always been a passion of hers and my Granddad’s.
