RESEARCHING TEST STRIPS
Messages on a test strip? That was Tara's idea as I put across to Ted. Ted was silent on the other end of the phone for several seconds, then he asked if I had done any research to see if this idea was already being done out there. I said I hadn't. He advised that I do so first. I asked him if he would sign a confidentiality agreement, and he said that he would. I told Ted I would stop over in a while and bring him the form. Actually, I had to go to the office store and get the form. The form was boilerplate, but I thought it would be a good idea, in case it was a valuable idea. Ted signed the form, and he asked me if I had thought of this idea all on my own. I told him that it was Tara's idea. He didn't respond to that. He gave me the name of a patent lawyer. He wasn't sure if that was the place to start, but it couldn't help. I told Ted I'd be back in touch with him if we ever got something going. He just kind of chuckled and shook my hand.
